We set out to determine which Gold Coast Surf Life Saving Clubs (SLSC) have the best food and best views for their patrons. Whether you’re after a hot breakfast, lunch and drinks, or a Sunday dinner, these 3 Surf Clubs are a head above the rest.
1. Currumbin Surf Club
In what has become a trendy piece of the Coast, the Currumbin beach shore is lined with cafes, restaurants and million-dollar properties. But occupying the most sacred part of Currumbin Beach is the Surf Club. Rubbing shoulders with Elephant Rock and facing north towards Surfers Paradise is what we consider the best Surf Club on the Gold Coast.
Sipping a wine with lunch under the warm sun or necking some moonlit beers with mates, the sight and sound of the waves crumbling over rocks below is a constant reminder of the beauty that surrounds you. You might also like to check out the view from the top of Elephant Rock, or stroll along the soft Currumbin sand. If you time it right, get along to the annual Swell Sculpture Festival (each September).

2. Kurrawa Surf Club
Located in the heart of the bustling and ever-popular Broadbeach, Kurrawa Surf Club is a favourite for tourists and locals alike. Not including Surfers Paradise Surf Club in our best three located Surf Clubs would be a crime. Overlooking the most photographed beach in Queensland, Surfers Paradise SLSC sits on arguably the primest piece of Gold Coast real estate. Who wouldn’t want to stroll down from their apartment to enjoy a $10 meal while gazing out to the grand Pacific?
